Google Voice Goes Local Search; Takes on Telcos
In its gambit to expand its service platform, Google is offering a beta version of 411 local search similar to what you get from your wireless or phone service provider.
You can search for businesses using voice prompts for name or category. Google then connects you to the business without charge. An SMS option is available if you want to receive the information as text.
