Obama Launches Change.gov to Aid Transition Effort

A few days after his historic election, President-Elect Barack Obama has launched a new website -- appropriately dubbed Change.gov.

President-Elect Obama Launches Transition Website Change.gov

The new site sports a countdown clock to the inauguration, agenda overview and a copy of the GSA Transition Directory. In The American Moment, site visitors can share their campaign or election day story online with others. You can also apply for a job in the new administration.

Regardless of your political views, the Obama camp's use of the web and online tools -- outreach to gamers, the myBO social networking site and now the Change.gov transition site -- provides a useful case study on the innovative use of online/social media.
