Top 5 Missing iPhone Applications

In many ways the iPhone seems to have delivered on claims made by Apple. It is elegant and easy-to-use. The 3G iPhone brought with it the launch of the App Store which has the potential to be one of the great wallet-emptiers in recent memory. From cool games like Super Monkey Ball to business productivity applications and seemingly everything in between, App Store has something for everyone. Honestly though, I'm surprised at what isn't there. Here's a look at the top 5 iPhone applications not in the App Store or built into the iPhone itself...but hopefully coming soon:

A look at the surprising misses in applications and features for the iPhone 3G

#5: Voice-enabled GPS application
The spy-gadget radiating dot Google map thingy is cool (if not a little creepy) but it's completely bewildering to have a GPS device without the option of voice-enabled GPS to make sure you "Turn Left."

#4: Flash
While we concede that Flash can sometimes be obnoxious and obtrusive, the web kinda does the Flash thing. So the web without it is not as rich an experience.

#3: Video
Few I think expect to make their directorial debut using their iPhone or any phone for that matter. Still the iPhone's inability to capture video -- not to mention an application for doing something cool with it afterwards -- is very un-Apple.

#2: Wide screen and keyboard for email
Like some of the others, this one is just kinda silly. Why would I want a wider keyboard for the web and not want one for typing email or notes?

#1: Unified email inbox

If you have more than one email account, this gets tiresome in a hurry. One click for the account, one click for the inbox, another for the message. Major index finger cramps. Hoping to see some progress on this one even if from a third party.
