Google Android Dream Phone Faces Low Expectations from Readers (eWeek)
Interesting piece from eWeek on Google Android release in October:
eWEEK readers refuse to believe that Google and T-Mobile's Android-based Dream smart phone will sell the 600,000 to 700,000 units HTC has said it expects to move when the device hits the mobile and wireless market in October. Pictures of the Linux-based device have failed to wow users so far, but a good showing at the unveiling in New York Sept. 23 could push the hype over the top.|| more Industry News & Trends >
Google Android: Is the T-Mobile G1 an iPhone Killer?
After many false starts and carrier setbacks, the first phone supporting the Google Android platform -- the T-Mobile G1 -- has been unveiled. Sporting a touch screen (or slide out keyboard), push Gmail and an applications store, the G1 sounds an awful lot like another phone bearing the 'G' moniker.

In many ways the iPhone seems to have delivered on claims made by Apple. It is elegant and easy-to-use. The 3G iPhone brought with it the launch of the App Store which has the potential to be one of the great wallet-emptiers in recent memory. From cool games like Super Monkey Ball to business productivity applications and seemingly everything in between, App Store has something for everyone. Honestly though, I'm surprised at what isn't there. Here's a look at the top 5 iPhone applications not in the App Store or built into the iPhone itself...but hopefully coming soon:
