With the launch of AdSense for Mobile Content last Thursday, Google -- along with its AdSense partner brethren -- has now stepped into what some experts say will be a mobile advertising market worth $10 billion by 2010 (EJL Wireless Research).
Google launches AdSense for Mobile Content, helping publisher enter the wireless advertising market.
The latest incarnation of the popular AdSense platform will allow mobile content providers (and/or those with mobile-capable sites) to use the targeted advertising model to monetize their wireless offerings.
AdSense for Mobile Content offers the added benefit of centralized account management for both online and mobile, likely to be of real benefit to larger publishers in the network.
Countries where the mobile AdSense program is available include:
* Australia
* China
* France
* Germany
* India
* Ireland
* Italy
* Japan
* Netherlands
* Russia
* Spain
* United Kingdom
* United States
No timetable on a possible expansion into other countries has been announced but given that Google AdSense is currently available in at least 42 countries (where they'll send local currency checks), one expects mobile to grow rapidly as well.
