Google Gets Voicemail with Grand Central Acquisition

According to its blog, Google has acquired Grand Central a web-based voicemail management application for an undisclosed figure.

Filling the voice gap in the Google suite of tools and applications (GMail, Talk, etc), Grand Central offers a host of features -- many of which would be tough to come by with most standard telco calling packages -- like directing specific callers to specific phones allowing you to personalize voicemail greetings.

'Reserve' a number in the area code of your choice at the Grand Central website which already sports Google branding everywhere.

You wonder what number Sergey Brin reserved.
