Google with SMS flight data to your cell

Boston Globe
April 2, 2007

Google SMS is a service that allows you to send a simple text message out and receive detailed information back from Google on a variety of topics. You can perform searches, translate words into foreign languages, get directions and now, find out if your flight is on time and from which gate it is departing. It all starts with entering 466453 (Google) as the SMS number in your cell phone. Then send a message with a keyword and some detail after it:
AA 2111
Translate hello in French
Weather boston
Sushi 01760

You can learn more about Google’s SMS service at sms.google.com.
